Part-Time Afternoon / Evening Nanny – Twin Girls Aged 6

At Happy Nest Nanny and Maternity Agency, we have the pleasure of supporting a lovely family in East Finchley who are seeking a warm, reliable and experienced part-time nanny to care for their twin girls aged 6. As always, our aim is not simply to fill a role, but to find the right long-term match where both the family and the nanny can truly be happy.
This is a predominantly afternoon and evening role, ideal for a professional nanny who enjoys bringing calm, structure and a gentle sense of routine to the end of the children’s day.
The twins are bright, imaginative and full of energy. They love Lego, reading, drawing and colouring, arts and crafts, imaginary play, singing, dancing and acting. They also enjoy being active, climbing, jumping and playing sports, as well as learning new things and helping out with little jobs around the house. The family would love to find a nanny who genuinely enjoys getting involved in these activities and encouraging their creativity, confidence and curiosity.
The role will include:
• Collecting the children from after-school clubs (approximately 4.40pm). If the nanny is a driver, they would be able to assist with pick-ups, although this is not essential
• Preparing and supervising dinner (one child is gluten intolerant)
• Planning and enjoying age-appropriate activities, games and creative play
• Overseeing the evening routine, including homework time, reading, quiet activities, bath time and wind-down
• Supporting a calm, organised bedtime routine
• Children’s laundry and light ironing
• Light family housekeeping and keeping the children’s areas tidy
A cleaner attends every Friday, so this role focuses on maintaining general order rather than heavy cleaning.
The ideal nanny will:
• Have several years’ experience working as a nanny or in a similar professional childcare role
• Be confident, organised, energetic and calm, particularly during the after-school and evening period
• Genuinely enjoy playing, creating, reading and being active with children
• Be happy supporting routines and gentle structure
• Driver with Own Car
• Ideally speak Spanish / bilingual and be happy to naturally introduce this through play and everyday conversation
• Be comfortable managing dietary requirements
Essential requirements:
• A fully enhanced DBS check
• Checkable and recent references
• An up-to-date Paediatric First Aid certificate
• If driving, a clean and valid UK driving licence
• The legal right to work in the UK
