Live In Housekeeper – Long term Position with a Friendly, Busy Family in East Sussex!

Job Summary:
We are a down to earth, friendly family of four, relocated from London to the beautiful Sussex countryside last year. Our new home in Westmeston, East Sussex will soon be ready—and we’re looking for a kind, reliable, and experienced live-in housekeeper to become a valued part of our home and daily life.

This is a long-term role, and we’re hoping to find someone who will grow with us for years to come—just like our wonderful nanny, who has been with us since our daughter was 3 months old.

We are open to candidates who would prefer to live in just during the week and go home on weekends – the working hours for Mondays and Fridays can be adjusted to make that work.

A confident driver who is ok driving on country roads is essential.


Job specification:
• Morning support – helping get the children off to the school bus (10 to 30 min drive)
• Daily housekeeping – cleaning, tidying, hoovering, dusting, and laundry
• Ironing and changing bedding
• Organising the home and running occasional errands
• Taking in deliveries
• Walking the dogs, looking after pets (we’ll be getting pets soon!)
• School pick-ups and being a friendly adult presence when parents are working from the office

Candidate specification:
• A confident driver with a clean UK licence (car provided for while on duty)
• Great with children – warm, approachable, and attentive
• Kind, trustworthy, and emotionally steady
• Comfortable in a busy home environment – flexible and proactive
• Looking for a stable, long-term role
• Pet friendly – dogs, cat and hamster

Accommodation: Own bedroom and bathroom on the top floor of the home – staircase runs to the kitchen – very private
