Night Nanny Specification
Location: Raynes Park
Start Dates: Tuesday 16th and Thursday 18th December (Can offer flexibility on days)
Hours: 10:00 pm – 7:00 am
Duration: 2 nights initially (may be extended)
Salary: £24 per hour
Child:
• One baby boy, 7 days old
• First-time parents
Role Overview
A warm, experienced Night Nanny is required to support first-time parents with overnight newborn care. The role focuses on feeding support, settling, and helping establish healthy sleep foundations while allowing parents to rest and gain confidence.
Key Responsibilities
• Full overnight care of the newborn
• Supporting a mixture of breastfeeding and bottle feeding
• Advising parents on feeding routines and techniques
• Settling and resettling baby throughout the night
• Supporting early sleep routine establishment (age-appropriate)
• Nappy changes and comfort care
• Monitoring baby’s wellbeing overnight
• Keeping parents informed with a brief handover each morning
• Maintaining a safe sleep environment at all times
Accommodation
• Shared room with the baby
Essential Requirements
• Maternity Nurse Training (MNT) qualification
• Proven night nanny experience, particularly with newborns
• Strong knowledge of newborn feeding and sleep
• Calm, reassuring manner with first-time parents
• Excellent newborn care and hygiene standards
