Overview:
A warm family in Paddington are looking for an experienced live-in nanny to support them with their two children. Their son is 5 and has additional needs which mean he functions at a much younger developmental stage. He is a very easy-going,  happy, expressive little boy, and they are looking for someone nurturing but also active, engaging and outgoing!  The role will be a mix of shared and sole charge, and while the nanny will rarely have both children entirely on their own, they should be comfortable supporting both as needed. Flexibility is a key part of the position, and the family would love to find someone who is adaptable and happy to travel with them throughout the year. The family are open to candidates without specific SEN experience if they are caring, patient, and willing to learn on the job.

Duties:
The nanny will support the children’s routines Monday to Friday, working 50 hours per week with some flexibility required (this will go both ways!). Responsibilities will include school and activity drop-offs and pick-ups, planning calm and engaging activities, and providing consistent care that supports the son’s needs in a gentle, reassuring way. The nanny will have their daughter a various times throughout the week, so will also plan activities for them to do. The role will also include batch cooking, preparing children’s meals, maintaining tidy and organised spaces, and helping with day-to-day tasks that keep family life running smoothly. Excellent English and solid nanny or nursery experience are essential. The family are open to candidates without specific SEN experience if they are caring, patient, and willing to learn on the job.

Skills and other requirements:
* At least 5 years childcare experience
* Excellent English
* Driver is essential
* Open to travel with the family
