About the role/child: B4 is a bright, energetic four-year-old boy who lives with his mum, dad, and younger sister. He has recently been diagnosed with autism and is currently non-verbal. B4 thrives on movement and sensory input—climbing, spinning, running, jumping on the trampoline, and using his spandex hammock to stay regulated.

Although he attends nursery two mornings a week with 1:1 support, the setting can be overwhelming due to noise levels, and his current support is ending in January. At home, his family is keen to build a structured, engaging routine that nurtures his curiosity and begins preparing him for Reception in September 2026. They are working on promoting communication, using early speech-and-language approaches, modelling simple sounds, encouraging joint attention, and integrating strategies inspired by play-based and child-led interventions such as Attention Autism and early PECS-style exchanges.

A Sennie will play an essential role in bringing positive, exciting learning experiences into B4’s day, balancing child-led exploration with gentle, motivating adult-led activities. The right person will help regulate his sensory needs through movement, support early communication development, encourage engagement, and introduce simple routines that build focus, independence, and readiness for school. Someone with experience in speech and language strategies, early years teaching, or autism-informed approaches will be able to build on the therapies already in place and help unlock Teddy’s potential in a calm, playful, and structured way.
