Job Summary:
This busy and welcoming family of four - with two children aged 8 and 16 months - is seeking an experienced and proactive Housekeeper / Cook to help maintain their beautiful five-storey home. The property includes four bedrooms, six bathrooms, requiring someone highly organised, energetic, and attentive to detail. Core duties will include daily housekeeping with occasional family cooking (with a preference for Indian or Asian cuisine). The family values someone who can take initiative, maintain high standards, and ensure the household runs smoothly with minimal supervision.
The ideal candidate will have solid private household experience, a positive “muck-in” attitude, and the ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the family and other staff. They should be child-friendly, respectful of cultural traditions, and comfortable working across multiple floors. The family appreciate professional, discreet, and reliable support. Flexibility during the week is appreciated, but weekend cover is essential.

Job specification:
• General housekeeping duties, including cleaning and tidying of shared spaces, laundry, ironing, and changing bed linen
• Occasional meal preparation and cooking for the family, ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and organized
• Occasional deep cleaning, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and wardrobe organisation
• Running errands such as grocery shopping, dry cleaning, and accepting deliveries or parcels
• Greeting guests and assisting with household organization as needed
• Supporting the nanny occasionally when required (minimal overlap - around once per week)
• Monitoring and restocking household supplies to maintain smooth daily operations
Candidate specification:
• Proactive, with a positive “muck-in” attitude and a strong work ethic
• High standard of housekeeping experience within a private household
• Family and child-friendly, with a calm and approachable demeanour
• Physically active and comfortable working across multiple floors of the home
• Willing to assist with cooking; preference for cooking with Indian or Asian cuisine
