Live in Housekeeper Cook opportunity offering a stable, long-term role with a caring family, comfortable private accommodation, and a supportive, respectful working environment

Job Summary:
A warm, busy, and welcoming family of six in beautiful Zug are looking for an experienced Live in Housekeeper Cook to join their household. Mum is currently at home supporting the busy, young family with support from a maternity nurse, and the family are now seeking someone who can help keep the home running smoothly while providing delicious, healthy meals when needed (home is 4 bedrooms over 4 levels).

This is a lively but loving household. The four children (7 year old, 6 year old and 2 year old twins) are close, well behaved, and busy with after school activities such as sports and piano. Some days are energetic, others are calmer — but always kind and family focused. The family run a very tidy house, things are either right / wrong and expectations are high while valuing warmth, respect, and teamwork.

They travel regularly, including to their second home in Dubai (about 4 trips a year), plus additional family trips.

The older children are in school and the younger ones are in nursery.

The home is located near good transport links

Job specification:
• Full cleaning and tidying of all areas: bedrooms, bathrooms, living spaces, kitchen
• Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and general surface cleaning
• Laundry and ironing when required; maintaining organised wardrobes and closets
• Recycling management
• Changing bed linens and towels
• Keeping the garage, balconies, and storage areas clean and organized
• Ensuring excellent household organisation and smooth daily operations
• Maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment
• Occasional errands (butcher, dry cleaner, post office)
• Watering indoor plants
• Planning weekly menus with mum, considering preferences and who will cook when
• Preparing daily family meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) — simple, healthy, fresh cooking
• Preparing snacks for the children
• Cleaning kitchen and dining areas after meal preparation
• Keeping the kitchen, appliances, and food storage organised and in good order

Candidate specification:
• Previous experience in a similar live-in role
• Happy and confident working around children as well as regular babysitting
• Enjoys cooking and can prepare healthy family meals with ease
• Strong organisational skills and a great eye for detail
• Friendly, proactive, discreet
• EU passport holder
• Good level of English
• A second language (German or Italian) is a big plus
• Driver preferred (automatic car can be provided for while on duty), but not essential
• Reliable, positive, and committed to helping a family home run smoothly

Accommodation: Basement - own bedroom, bathroom and kitchen with separate entrance – very private
