Full-Time Nanny – Welwyn Garden City (Herts)
Live-Out | Monday–Friday | 8am–6pm
£15–£17.50 gross per hour (£39,000–£45,500 DOE)
Start: ASAP or January

A friendly family in Welwyn Garden City is seeking an experienced, confident nanny to care mainly for their energetic and sociable 2-year-old boy. A new baby will arrive in mid January, but the nanny’s primary focus will remain the toddler. Support with the baby will be occasional at first, and from April will mainly be during the toddler’s nursery hours.

About the role:
• Sole charge of the toddler during the day
• Planning engaging outings, classes, playgroups, and home activities
• Supporting his routine, independence, and development
• Nursery drop-offs and pick-ups from April
• Light assistance with the newborn, especially when the toddler is out
• Simple meal prep for the children and family meals (nothing complicated required!)
• Child-related tasks plus general day-to-day tidying (regular cleaner in place)

Family routine:
Mum will be around at times, especially in the newborn period, but she keeps to herself and the newborn. Dad works full time outside the home. The home is calm, warm, and well organised.

Travel:
The family travels several times a year and the nanny must be willing to join them for trips up to three weeks at a time, totalling around 6–8 weeks annually. Standard working hours apply, with any extra hours agreed in advanced and paid extra. Travel expenses paid and no driving abroad required. A private room for nanny will be always arranged for travel.

Requirements:
• Strong childcare experience with toddlers and sole-charge roles
• Driver with own car for work use
• Confident planning daily structure and outings
• Comfortable with international travel (mainly north of coastal Spain)
• Non-smoker
• Not suitable for a nanny with own child (NWOC)
• Ofsted registration not required
• No pets in the home

Contract:
Long-term position with a minimum 12-month commitment but we would like someone for much longer.
