Senior Support Worker – Birmingham, B24. A fantastic full-time opportunity to lead a small SEN support team working with a bright, outgoing 12-year-old with Cerebral Palsy. Permanent contract, 35 hours per week.
Salary: Up to £18.50 gross per hour | £32,214 gross per annum
Nearest Station: Wylde Green
Salary/Wage: £17.50 (weekdays) | £18.50 (weekends) gross per hour
Driving Requirements: Essential – automatic Wheelchair Adapted Vehicle (WAV)
Essential: 1+ year’s experience as a Senior Support Worker; paediatrics/childcare background

About Rosie: Rosie (12) is outgoing, sociable, determined and full of character. She loves Harry Potter, Frame Running, Tesla cars, languages and cinema trips. She lives with her parents and younger brother in a warm, close-knit family. Rosie has dyskinetic cerebral palsy and dysarthria, but communicates verbally and clearly. She experiences involuntary movements (mainly in her arms and hands). She is mobile using a high-knee crawl and uses her wheelchair when needed.
The Role at a Glance: As Senior Support Worker, you will manage a small care team, promote a positive and supportive working culture, and ensure Rosie’s care plan is up to date and followed consistently.
Duties include: Conducting staff supervisions, appraisals and monthly team meetings. Updating care plans and completing administrative tasks. Managing supplies and medication stocks. Providing 15 hours of 1:1 support with Rosie. Completing 10 hours of admin duties off-site Shifts include two weekends per month and one after-school shift. This Job Would Suit: A confident, skilled Senior Support Worker with excellent communication, a positive attitude and a great sense of humour. You must be a competent driver with a full, clean licence.
