Schedule: up to 6 days per week (with regular daytime breaks and one full day off per week – The children are in full-time nursery 3 days per week so candidate can choose1 or 2 of those days as days off.
About the Family
A warm and welcoming family with two young children — a 8-month-old baby and a bright, playful 3-year-old — are seeking an experienced and nurturing Temporary Nanny to support them through a busy period in January. Mum will be at home studying for a course, and Dad will be traveling for work, so the family are looking for someone hands-on, calm, and proactive who can step in to help keep things running smoothly.
The Role
The Temp Nanny will provide attentive and loving care for both children, helping to maintain routines and ensure the days run smoothly. The role will include shared care with Mum, especially with the baby, and sole charge at times.
Typical duties will include:
Engaging the 3-year-old in age-appropriate, stimulating play, crafts, and outdoor activities
Supporting with the baby’s routine — feeding, changing, naptime, and play
Preparing healthy snacks and light meals for the children
Assisting with children’s laundry and keeping play areas tidy
Helping with bedtime routines when needed
Being flexible and supportive while Mum studies
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
A caring, patient, and energetic nanny with previous experience caring for babies and toddlers
Confident with both shared and sole charge care
Organised, flexible, and able to adapt to the family’s daily rhythm
A good communicator, especially with Mum to coordinate schedules
DBS checked, with strong recent childcare references
Bonus would be someone willing to do a few adhoc hours before the contract start date
Driver needed

Key Details
Commitment: 6 weeks - plus weekend commitment
Hours: Full days with breaks during the day
Day off: One/two of the weekdays that the children attend Nursery.
