I’m a stay at home mum, with a 13 month old baby boy, who’s looking for help around the home in variable amounts to meet our family’s needs. This will include some element of helping me with baby but will largely be centred on supporting me with getting the balance and rest I need to function well by taking on household tasks or doing chores alongside me and baby.
For example, I need help with things like putting laundry away, preparing meals, doing basic housework.
There’ll be some regular structure and then more responsive requests as I do my own work and see what needs extra help/ done that day or week in particular.
A likely week would look like offering a couple of hours of help on selected days to start with (to see if this is enough to meet my needs)- with the potential for increasing hours/ number of days if necessary as we see what works best for us as a family.
During times of crisis or acute need (for example if I am sick or my husband is unwell or there’s something urgent needing my attention) we would want a higher level of help where possible and this would include increased amounts of time with baby.

We’re hoping to move house in the next year, so this would be considered temporary work. We also regularly travel (since baby it’s only been around the UK) so there’s some potential to join us when we do (with a large focus being on an extra pair of hands for baby and babysitting in the evenings) if the candidate we accept is interested.
High moral and ethical standards are important to us as is an openness and respect for our family’s beliefs. We are devout and practicing followers of Jesus Christ and this significantly shapes our parenting (prayer and relationship with God plays an important part of our daily lives and would need to be something a candidate is comfortable being surrounded by but not pressured to join in with).
An immediate start would be possible as we are currently in need of a lot more help as my husband is currently unwell so I have a lot less support. We need support as we haven’t got family or any close connections in the area (this is part of why we are looking to move house).
