Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Norland Nanny to join a fun, and loving family. The role begins in March, in preparation for a baby due in April, including supporting the family during a 3-4-week trip to California to prepare for the baby. The family are first-time dads and are looking for professional guidance and support in navigating life with a newborn.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality childcare, including feeding, changing, engaging the baby in age-appropriate activities, and supporting developmental milestones, while also assisting with child-related housekeeping and establishing consistent daily routines. They will become a trusted partner in the family, confident in their expertise, proactive, friendly, and genuinely invested in building a strong bond with the family. This is a long-term, Monday-to-Friday position with occasional babysitting.

Job specification:
• Provide high-quality childcare, including feeding, changing, engaging the baby in age-appropriate activities, and supporting key developmental milestones.
• Support the parents as they navigate life with a newborn - they are open, collaborative, and welcome guidance and suggestions.
• Carry out all child-related housekeeping duties, such as laundry, sterilising bottles, and maintaining clean and organised child areas.
• Help establish and maintain consistent daily routines that support the child’s development and wellbeing.
• Offer occasional babysitting as needed.
• Assist with the transition through the newborn stage and continue to provide care and support as the child grows.
• Be open to occasional travel with the family, approximately once a year for up to two weeks at a time.

Candidate specification:
• Experience with newborns, with a proven history of staying long-term as children grow and develop.
• Becomes part of the family and works in true partnership with parents in raising the child.
• Supportive, proactive, and happy to share ideas and help establish positive routines.
• Norland-trained
• Confident and knowledgeable, able to set up effective routines and provide informed feedback - the family values someone educated and assured in their approach.
• Friendly, fun, and genuinely invested in building a warm bond with the child, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
