Mothers Help
Mother's Help with Newborn Experience Wanted– London W8 (~30-40 hrs/week)
We are a soon-to-be family of five (British/American) based in Kensington W8, near Holland Park, with two boys aged 3.5 years and 1.5 years, and a newborn due in mid-November.
We are looking for a kind, reliable, person to join our family who is very organised, loves to help keep a household running, loves to cook a wide range of healthy food for the family, has newborn experience and loves young children.
Our eldest is in nursery five days per week during term time, and our youngest will start nursery in February. This role is a hybrid of childcare (30-40%) and housekeeping (60-70%)– with a focus on our newborn during nursery hours, and general family support in the afternoons and evenings.
We’d love to find someone who can become a part of our family – someone who enjoys spending time with children, takes pride in keeping a home organised and running smoothly, and is proactive in helping where needed, especially in supporting mum post-birth and helping her balance her time with the older boys post nursery pick up.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide attentive, loving care for our children
-Prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks for the children, and dinners for the family (we usually eat the same meal as a family)- recipes will be provided (nothing too time intensive); tidy up the kitchen/dishes while parents are doing bath/bedtime and prep breakfast and nursery lunches for the next day
-Sole charge care for our newborn several hours per day (feeding, changing, settling, playing, etc.) while older children are at nursery
-Wash and sanitise bottles
-Assist with nursery/school pick-ups if needed
-Support with the afternoon routine for the older children: snacks, play, bath, and dinner
-Keep our home tidy and organised (toys, clothes, kitchen, laundry, beds made etc.)
-Maintain a nurturing, calm, and engaging atmosphere for the children
-Support homework and playtime with creativity and enthusiasm
-Prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks for the children, and dinners for the family (the usually eat the same meal as a family)
-General housekeeping: cleaning, tidying, laundry, ironing, and keeping the home well-organised
-Help with occasional household errands

-Proven experience as a mother's help or nanny-housekeeper (including newborn/infant care) with checkable references
-Confident caring for babies, toddlers, and school-age children
-Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask
-Energetic, positive, and proactive — someone who enjoys being busy and active
