Nanny-Housekeeper
LOCATION: South Derbyshire
ROLE: Nanny/Housekeeper
Live-out or Live-in

Live-in will be an en-suite room within the family home, until family annex has been completed which will have own entrance etc.
Hours: Monday - Friday 6am - 9/10am then 4pm - 8pm until March then nights (totally 40 hours - discussion of pay rise for nights!)
Salary based on experience - Around £32k a year
Children's ages: 2.5 year old - Twins due in March
Overview:
A warm and welcoming family in South Derbyshire are seeking an experienced and proactive Nanny Housekeeper to join their household. Mum is expecting twins in March, and the family also have a lively 3-year-old. This is a unique, evolving role for someone who wants to become an integral part of the family and provide support across childcare and household management.

Hours:
Initial schedule (before twins arrive):
Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 9/10am and 4:00pm – 8:00pm
From March onwards (once twins arrive): 40 hours worth of nights for a few months

Accommodation:
The role can be live-in or live-out depending on the candidate’s location. For live-in candidates, a private en-suite bedroom within the family home is provided initially. Once the family’s new annex is complete, this will become the nanny housekeeper’s self-contained living space.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide loving and confident care for a 3-year-old, and newborn twins from March onwards.
Support morning and evening routines (getting children ready, mealtimes, bath/bedtime).
Assist with meal preparation for the children and family.
General housekeeping duties: cleaning, tidying, laundry, organising, keeping the home running smoothly.
Use initiative to see what needs doing and proactively help around the house.
Build a strong bond with the children and integrate into the family’s daily life.

Candidate Requirements:
Essential: Proven experience caring for multiple young children.
Prior housekeeping experience, with strong organisational skills.
Able to multitask and work independently with initiative.
Warm, adaptable, and happy to “muck in” wherever needed.
A driver with their own car is highly desirable due to the rural location.
Flexible and open-minded, with a “can-do” attitude.

Additional Information:
Mum will be returning to work shortly after the twins’ arrival, so the right candidate must be able to provide reliable support across both childcare and household duties. This is a long-term position for someone who truly wants to become part of the family’s team.
