We are looking for an experienced nanny to help with our kids, aged 7, 5 and 1, alongside some housekeeping and general help around the house. Separate accommodation in a cottage adjacent to house is available. Would suit an experienced, self-motivated individual, who is able to be flexible with duties and is happy living in a rural area. Having your own car is a must to allow you autonomy in your spare time.

We live in the Highlands in an area of outstanding beauty. Lochaber is dubbed the “outdoor capital of the UK” and we have incredible opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, climbing, wild swimming, kayaking, etc on our doorstep.

We have been renovating a property over the past 10 years and recently moved in. We have a smallholding with sheep and cows and we also grow fruit and veg. Part of the property is used as accommodation for people working on jobs locally.

This job entails childcare plus some housekeeping (mostly tidying, laundry) and cooking. It would be particularly suited to someone with experience, who is happy to work independently, who enjoys the outdoors, who is flexible, dynamic and creative.

The older 2 kids attend school a 15mn drive away so excellent driving skills are essential, although school run responsibilities can be shared with mum/dad. You can use our car for work purposes.

Dad regularly works away, including overseas, so it’s key to have reliable help at hand for mum. Mum works 3 days per week, more often than not from home but regularly and across the region of Argyll and Bute.

We have a well-equipped cottage adjacent to our house, which allows you to be close while affording you space and privacy. Heating, electricity, Wi-Fi are included. Laundry facilities are shared with us.

Working hours can be negotiated to suit both parties.
