Ref: 1831, Italian-speaking Nanny – Live-out – Walthamstow (E17)

A family based in Walthamstow (E17) is looking for an experienced Italian-speaking nanny to care for their newborn. They also have a 3-year-old who attends nursery. The nanny will primarily be responsible for the baby but may occasionally need to pick up the older child from nursery at 5pm, although the mother usually takes care of this.

This is a live-out position.

Start date: April 2025
Working days: 3 days/week, increasing to 4 days/week from September
Hours: Around 9 hours per day, starting at 9am

Nanny responsibilities:
Providing full care for the newborn (nappy changes, bottle feeding, naps, age-appropriate stimulation)
Ensuring a safe, clean, and structured environment for the baby
Preparing and sterilising bottles, supporting the transition to solid foods
Establishing a consistent nap routine and daily structure
Organising developmentally appropriate activities
Promoting the baby’s emotional and physical development
Occasionally picking up the 3-year-old from nursery
Preparing simple and healthy meals for the children
Keeping children’s areas clean and organised
Working closely with parents to ensure continuity in the children’s routine and upbringing
Salary:
£20 gross per hour
Requirements:
Proven experience caring for newborns
Fluent Italian speaker
Paediatric First Aid certificate
Up-to-date DBS check
Ability to integrate well within the family and build a trusting relationship
