We are seeking a French speaking nanny on behalf of a lovely family in London, SW6. To care for their 2-year-old daughter in a live-out, long-term role. They are looking for someone warm, energetic, and proactive, who can provide a fun and stimulating environment while encouraging bilingual development. The role starts on in April 2025, but they are happy for the right person to start earlier before Easter.

The job involves collecting their daughter from nursery at 1pm, settling her down for a nap from 1:30pm to 4pm, and then offering a healthy snack before planning fun educational and engaging activities for the afternoon the nanny will finish around 7PM. The job is 30Hrs per week and from Monday till Friday.

The family encourages outdoor play, creative activities, museum visits, and playdates, with a focus on keeping things interactive and screen-free. As she grows and naps less, there will be even more time for engaging outings and learning experiences.

Alongside childcare, the nanny will be responsible for preparing fresh, nutritious meals, including some batch cooking for dinners and weekends. Other duties include keeping on top of the child’s laundry, tidying toys, cleaning up after meals, and ensuring essentials like nappies and food are well stocked. While most evenings the parents will be home, there may be occasions when they need some flexibility to stay later due to work commitments so the nanny must be happy with that too.

The family is looking for someone who is fluent in French, with experience in caring for toddlers, including potty training. They would love a nanny who is fun, creative, and confident in planning engaging activities, as well as someone who is organised, tidy, and respectful of their home. A passion for food and cooking would be a great bonus.

This is a live-out role, so the nanny must be within easy reach of SW6. No driving is needed. The family employs cleaners, but no other domestic staff.

Requirements
Live within reasonable commute of SW6

2+ years childcare experience

Experience working with toddlers

Up to date Enhanced DBS

Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate

Right to work in UK (& already living in the UK) and have proof

Good references for recent and relevant nanny work

Proof of previous long term positions (ideally 2+years in each job)

Be available long term
