12/04/2025 Parent
A lovely family in Clapham, South West London, are looking for a calm and warm nanny to join their family, caring for their 4 month old baby boy. The couple have no other children, and no pets, and are friendly, easy going and down to earth. They’re looking for the right fit, someone kind, positive and pro-active.

Open to live in or live out. Start date mid-March (flexible on specific date).

Location:
- Walking distance from Clapham South or Balham station
- Close to Clapham and Wandsworth commons
- Off-street parking available at the property (free of charge)

Skills and other requirements:
- Experience with babies of a similar age.

- Good team player with a collaborative approach.
- Someone proactive, organised and reliable who can keep the day / routine structured (and fun!)
- Experience with sleep training - baby is in a good routine and sleeps well
- Experience and confidence with weaning and preparing nutritious, healthy, balanced and varied meals
- Current first aid certificate
- Enhanced DBS

Working hours:
- 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday
- Occasional Saturdays, by mutual agreement
- Ad hoc babysitting, by mutual agreement

Key duties:
- Solely focussed on baby duties
- Usual nursery duties: changing the baby (maintaining good hygiene and preventing nappy rash), feeding, cleaning and sterilising bottles, keeping the baby area and items clean and tidy, doing the baby’s laundry
- Maintain the baby’s routine and schedule of naps and bedtime
- Engage the baby with fun, educational and age-appropriate activities that support his development (would like a range of play and activities, including messy play)
- Taking the baby for walks in the park
- Taking the baby to baby classes
- Guidance and support in weaning, preparation of meals and batch cooking where appropriate (no cooking required for the rest of the family). Mum is keen to be part of the weaning process and discuss ideas and options.
- Flexibility on helping with bedtime and bath time routine (depending on mum and dad’s schedule)
