We are assisting a private family based in Washington DC with the search for a professional live in nanny for their children aged 3.5yrs, 2yrs and NB due early December 2024. Currently based abroad, the family will be moving at the beginning of 2025, interviews and trial processes will start now in order to accommodate any relocation/notice periods logistics required. The nanny will initially focus their care on the two older children: a maternity/baby nurse will care for the new baby for a period of 6 months before handing over. The older child will attend a local nursery Mondays to Fridays, between 8am and 3pm, whilst the 2years old child will make the most of the playgroups, child-friendly attractions and activities available within the leafy residential area the family will be settling in. The Nanny will be live working Mondays to Fridays, assisting with night care if required however both children are well settled and sleep through the night. The role will be sustainable, should the need for additional help arise, it will be arranged as would weekend assistance and support for the family and their household team.
The ideal nanny will be experienced and of a pleasant and positive disposition: they will be supportive of educational activities and aware of cognitive developmental milestones. The nanny will be a fair and fluid disciplinarian and will work with Mum in ensuring wellbeing of the children and encourage their development. The role will suit a dynamic nanny who is used to looking after multiples and ideally possesses geo-knowledge of local activities and playgroups (a bonus, not a must). Travel to different USA locations and to Europe will also be required, alongside the travelling household team. The family have one dog the children adore (super friendly, small size).
