Temporary Experienced Childcare and Household Support Needed for the month of September 2024

Location: Islington, London
Date required : 1-29 September
Duration: 1 month
Number of hours: up to 8 per day (afternoon through to bedtime eg 2pm to 9 or 10pm)
Live-out but could be Live-In

We are seeking an experienced and nurturing individual to assist with the care of our daughter (five months old in September) and help with household tasks for the month of September.

About us:
We are a professional couple in our mid-40s. We offer a respectful, friendly, and flexible environment where you can feel like part of the family.

The ideal candidate will:
Have extensive childcare experience, having cared for at least 5-10 children at this stage of development (five months).
Have experience in sleep training and is comfortable providing guidance to first-time parents, while respecting our parenting choices.
Have experience with weaning and introducing solid foods, should our daughter be ready.
Ideally you would be available to work from afternoon until after bedtime, e.g. 2 PM to 9PM, to assist with evening routines and sleep training.
Be capable of preparing dinner as part of the evening routine.
Speak English fluently

Childcare responsibilities include:
Helping with feeding, sleep training and establishing routines for our daughter.
Assisting mum during playtime with our daughter and doing sole care when mum has meetings or commitments.
Taking our daughter for walks and to classes or meet-ups, or supporting mum when she does.
Engaging in developmental activities, such as tummy time and other age-appropriate play.

Household support tasks might include:
Sterilizing bottles (using a bottle sterilizer.)
Preparing formula or baby food.
Loading and unloading the dishwasher.
Managing laundry, primarily for the baby but occasionally for us (we have a dryer, so minimal hanging required).
Keeping areas clean and tidy.
No deep cleaning is necessary, as we have a regular cleaner for that.

A live-in option is available if it would be more convenient for the right candidate.
