We are Paolo and Jonathan. We live near Brentwood (Essex), in the outskirts of London.

We are looking for a nanny/housekeeper - an extra pair of hands to support Jonathan (stay at home dad) looking after our four children (10 year old boy, 7 year old girl, 5 year old girl, 3 year old boy)

Our eldest son and both daughters are all in school and our 3 year old son is in nursery 3 days a week, starting school full time in September ‘24.

We need an extra pair of hands to help us in general with aspects of the children’s routines and around the house. Starting with the morning routine to get the kids up and ready for school, preparing healthy snacks, assisting to teach them how to dress and clear up after themselves. We have a weekly cleaner but with 4 children and as they’ll all be in school from September we’re looking for some light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, tidying the children’s rooms, washing and ironing for them, cooking family meals on certain days, food shopping, help with school runs and driving the kids to after-school activities.

We are raising the children to be bilingual in English and Italian. It would be great if you can speak Italian or have a knowledge of the Italian language, but this is not essential.

The role would really suit someone, with a positive attitude who has a “can-do” spirit, initiative, able to manage their time and who can assist in helping us do a variety of tasks around the house.

We are ideally looking for someone to live-in but live-out applicants would also be considered. We provide private spacious accommodation with ensuite bathroom for live-in applicants and there is use of a car (automatic) all week. Driving licence and experience/confidence at driving is essential as we live in a rural setting.
