Are you someone who loves to be challenged on a daily basis and are happy to pick up tasks as they arise? This lovely and busy family based in North London are looking for a fantastic Nanny/PA to support their busy household. They need someone who can take initiative to pick things up as needed. The role is a mix between after-school duties and general household duties. There is a housekeeper in the home who does the real cleaning, but this family need help with general admin that they simply don’t have time to do themselves.

The Role:
- Collecting the little one from nursery, engaging him in fun play and educationally focussed activities and running the supper, bath and bed routine
- Prepare healthy supper / snacks for him and where possible make additional food for the family who are happy to eat salt free food
- Organise and keep on top of the child’s calendar including booking activities and playdates. Keep on top of the academic schedule of the school; need to dress for World book day or take in a project? This would be your responsibility to organise and arrange
- Organise and coordinate all the doctor/dentist/optician appointments as needed and help administer medicine and basic first aid as needed
- Review the school calendar and ensure that all the correct kit, clean clothes, art smocks etc are packed as needed every day
- Organise the children’s birthdays and parties as needed
- Keep play areas clean and tidy, keep prams and buggies clean, do child’s laundry. Their bedroom etc should be clean and tidy. Help by identifying and setting aside clothes that no longer fit and keep an eye on the need for new shoes etc for your ever growing charge
- Support the child in their day-to-day life by being a positive influence on behaviour including good manners, and creating a stimulating environment in which they thrive. Be strict but fair in your approach
- Keep communication lines with Mum and Dad open and clear and be keen to foster a strong relationship not just with your charge but with the whole family
- Use your initiative to improve and develop routines and structure in line with the child’s growth and development
- Travel as required with the family

Additional day-to-day responsibilities:

- Running errands (package returns, dry cleaning, light grocery shopping i.e replacing milk when it has run out)
- Be across the small things: lightbulbs that have gone out, out of date food in the larder or iPads without charge!
- Boiler broken down or batteries run out on the remote? Mum would love someone who is able to just take care of that as needed
- Contractors need access to the home or a food delivery arrives - it would be such a help if this person were able to take on responsibility for managing these day to day tasks

The person:

To be considered for the role, the following attributes and qualifications will be needed

- A positive attitude and an energetic approach to the role
- Fluent English
- Someone who is happy to work in collaboration with the parents as well as in a sole charge position
