Nanny-Housekeeper
Family Assistant / Nanny - Two Girls (4 & 6)
We are a warm and busy family seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organised Family Assistant / Nanny to support our household and care for our two daughters aged 4 and 6. We also have an older dog, Jeki, who is a beloved member of the family and will require some basic support. With both girls at school during the day (8:15 to 15:25), this role combines morning/afternoon childcare with household and administrative support, helping ensure the smooth and efficient running of family life. We are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a family environment, takes initiative, and brings a calm, capable presence to the home.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Childcare
- Preparing breakfast and supporting the morning routine;
- School drop-off and pick-up;
- Planning and supervising after-school activities, including lessons and playdates;
- Supporting homework, reading and development;
- Preparing healthy afternoon snacks and evening meals for the children;
- Assisting with bath and bedtime routine;
- Assistance whilst travelling with the family and during school holidays; and
- Night babysitting when required, to be discussed in advance.
Household and Family Support (During School Hours)
A key part of this role is ensuring the household runs smoothly during the day. Responsibilities will generally include:
- Managing family laundry and occasional ironing;
- Daily tidying and organisation (the cleaner covers the bathrooms and deep cleaning);
- Keeping children's spaces organised and functional (including both their toys and clothing);
- Preparing children's meals and some general batch cooking; and
- Walking/feeding the dog when required.
This role would suit someone who is naturally organised, efficient and takes pride in maintaining a calm and well-run home.
Administrative Support
During school hours, there will also be opportunities to assist with light administrative and organisational tasks relating to the household and the mother's business.
Travel
We travel regularly and would value someone who is happy to join us when needed, assisting with:
- Children's care while travelling; and
- Packing, unpacking and maintaining organisation.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Warm, kind and emotionally intelligent;
- Highly organised and proactive;
- Comfortable balancing childcare with household and admin responsibilities;
- Capable of working independently and using initiative;
- A confident drive;
- Flexible and open to travelling with the family; and
- Looking for a long-term role within a family.
