I am a single mother living in lovely Clapham with my 8-year old daughter, and 15-year old son. My son has ADHD and suffers from anxiety, mainly relating to school, so he goes to a special needs school. I also have 2 older, adult children living independently.

I am French, so my children are bilingual and my daughter goes to the French Lycée. All her homework is in French.

This is why I need a French-speaking nanny/housekeeper, although she/he doesn't not have to be fluent, intermediate or even rusty French would be enough.

A driver is essential though, as the children's schools (my son needs to be accompanied to school still) are in opposite directions.

I do not work and stay at home. I suffer from a chronic condition with ups and downs. This is why I need somebody who can assist me with looking after the children, particularly when I'm not well, but also a flexible all-round who can step in the running of the house when I'm not at my best.

The job will require all usual aspects of childcare (my son being less independent than an adolescent of his age, he requires basically the same supervision as his sister): essentially taking the children to school and picking them up, preparing uniforms, packed lunches etc, cooking simple meals for us, supervising homework and bath time etc.

The housekeeping I need is mainly food shopping, running errands, basic cleaning of the house during school hours, changing sheets, doing the laundry etc.

I need somebody with a genuine love of children, and who is kind, adaptable, tolerant, and with a good sense of humour!

I am an easy-going, fair employer and I like to think that we are (most of the time!) a fun family to be with.
