Nanny
Hello,

We are a friendly and welcoming family of 5 living between Herne Hill, Brixton and Dulwich looking for a live-in junior nanny to join our family and starting in September. We have three children who by the Autumn will be 7 (B), 5 (G) and 2 (B). The children are all at school or nursery during the day so we are ideally looking for a junior nanny to help us with breakfast and the morning school run and then in the afternoon with school pick up, supper, bath and bed. We are hands-on parents and like to spend as much time with the children as our jobs permit so the perfect fit for our family would be someone who is flexible and happy to work in partnership with us when we are around. It is likely that we will both be working from home for the foreseeable future so we don't envisage significant amounts of sole-charge time apart from during the school run and maybe an hour on return to the house, which is why we'd like an enthusiastic and cheerful junior nanny to help us out. I will always try to be done with work in time to help with supper, bath etc as we know this is a busy time with three children.

We are open to candidates with a variety of backgrounds however for the role to work for both us and for you we think the following are the minimum requirements:
- First aid trained (or willing to do a course before starting). Our son carries Epipens due to a peanut allergy so you will need to be able to administer an Epipen in an emergency.
- Confident English speaker who has been in the UK for at least a year - due to our son's allergy we need to be confident that in an emergency you can communicate well and navigate the situation.
- Three young children makes for a busy household and can be hard work - for you to enjoy the role you must genuinely love children this age and embrace the busy nature of the role, and the chaos that having three children can sometimes involve! You must have experience of looking after more than one child.
- As we will not be using public transport the school run involves a lot of walking (c45mins there and 45 mins back) so you must be happy to do this. Alternatively we have a cargo bike which can fit all three kids that you can use. I don't work on Wednesday so you would only be doing the school run Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri. As we are working from home my husband and I will help as much as possible by picking up some of the school runs. The walk is a pleasant walk through Dulwich Village.

Accommodation is a bedroom (with a double bed on a mezzanine level) and own bathroom (not en-suite but right next door). The house is newly renovated so the room and bathroom are in good condition and are both pleasant rooms.

Salary offered is £250 npw but could be more for a candidate with more experience or a confident and experienced driver. Additional hours may be available during the school holidays. If you would be interested but only with a higher salary please do get in contact but let us know how much you will expect when you contact us so that we are both clear.
