Live in Nanny required to care for two wonderful little boys who are 4 years old and 2 years old. The position will be sole charge. The working days will be Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm. Three nights babysitting may be needed on a Tues/Wed/Thurs until 10pm however, the children will be asleep so the nanny can rest in their living room/bedroom and will only be needed on the rare occasion that the children wake.
The accommodation will be own bedroom, en-suite bathroom and use of a private sitting room. A driver is required and a luxury car will be provided whilst on duty. The family also employs a cleaner.
The family are located in a lovely spot on a private road in Sevenoaks in Kent. It is an ideal location with lots of places for the nanny to take the children into town and local parks on foot or out in the car to experience the great outdoors. The family have passes for many local places of interest, farms, parks etc. It is very easy to access London (frequent high speed trains, 30 mins to London Bridge, Waterloo & Charing Cross) for trips in the school holidays.
The ideal nanny will be a native english speaker due to the children's age and speech development. They will be fun, organised and professional. They will be focused on all aspects of caring for the children, including age appropriate activities, preparing nutritious meals, following the school activities/events etc. General nursery duties will be required such as keeping the nursery areas clean and tidy, but the general household chores will be done by the cleaner. The family are bilingual in both English and French.
The candidate must have approved track record of sole charge care of pre school children and ideally show some longevity in previous roles. Up to date references are a must.
The elder boy will attend independent school 5 days per week from September. He is described as being calm, confident and good-natured by his pre-school teachers. He loves doing sporty activities and visiting new places. The younger boy will attend pre-school (part of the same school as the elder boy) 2 mornings per week. He is lively, loves interacting with people, doing arty activities and his communication is quite advanced for his age. The boys enjoy each other’s company (most of the time) and spend a lot of time playing in the garden together.
The successful candidate will be offered 20 days holiday a year in addition to the UK bank holidays and a CPD (continuous professional development) budget of up to £170 gross per year.
Ideally September to early October start but can wait for the right candidate. Facetime/Zoom interviews in the first instance, 2nd interview at the family home (socially distanced in the garden) with a trial day to follow, if successful.
