Essential: Experience supporting a young client/teenager with a physical disability
Start Date: Immediately until the beginning of September
Days & Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (live-in only on days working and paid for the sleep overnight) Day shift: 8.00 am – 8.00 pm
Family/Client Pets: Yes, a friendly dog
Accommodation: Own bedroom and bathroom.
About this client/child:
Emma is 13 and is an incredibly bright, capable, and ambitious young lady who strives for her independence, she is very strong-willed and knows her own mind! Emma has cerebral palsy, is a wheelchair user and is dependent on others to meet all her care needs. Emma communicates verbally and uses an electric wheelchair.
Overview of role:
Due to Covid-19, Emma is at home full-time and will not be returning to her boarding school until September. We require a Live-in SEN Nanny to provide hands-on practical support for Emma and arrange fun, educational activities she can enjoy, as well as support with her therapy programmes. Emma is a true girly-girl and loves to be pampered, listen to music, watch dance shows and most importantly keep in touch with all her school friends!
Who this job would suit:
An energetic, proactive and outgoing but most importantly fun SEN Nanny, who understands that this is also an SEN Buddy role and has experience supporting young clients/teenagers with a physical disability. You must be available until September.
