Nanny
Role: Live in Nanny / Manny
Care for: B12 and G12
Days: Tuesday – Saturday
Hours: Term time 6.30am until 8pm
School Holidays 7.45am until 9pm
Location: Barnes( near Hammersmith bridge)London
Salary: £800-£1000pw (dependant on experience)

We are looking to employ a teacher (preferably secondary school) who has some experience in Nannying and has a willingness to work with a special needs child. We are a lively household and put a lot of emphasis on education.

This is a 6 month contract where we require the candidate to self isolate with us for a period of 3 months (as our son is at high risk due to Covid- 19) after a 3 month period a break can be arranged before returning back to work.

Whilst working, all days off must be taken whilst residing in the family home.

Interests: our boy is very chatty, confident, has a passion for history, enjoys reading, plays chess, loves football, can talk all day about Harry Potter / Star Wars / Lord of the Rings and obviously is dedicated to his Xbox ! In short he is full of life...

Our daughter plays the guitar and piano. She is shy to begin with until she can trust who she is with.

Our son has cerebral palsy and is a wheel chair user.

The role is predominantly to support our son in his learning, however his twin sister will at times require supervision.

Both children are doing online schooling at present and will require support with this.

At present our son's work is recorded through scribing, however we are working hard at making him more independent with his eye gaze system.

We have weekly remote sessions with the physio and speech & language therapist.

The role involves working as part of a team and occasionally on your own.

You will be required to follow a daily physiotherapy program.

This involves manual handling for which on going training will be given.

You must be be enthusiastic, lively, kind, creative and have the ability to make learning fun. There is a lot of emphasis on education, hence it is essential that you are a qualified teacher or graduate and can teach year 8 subjects - especially the core subjects ie English, Maths and Science.

The role requires a degree of flexibility as the children’s routines and timings can vary.

There will be some PA and nursery duties that you will be responsible for.

You will be provided with a beautiful large double bedroom with ensuite.

Experience of driving an automatic car is preferable.

The candidate must have an excellent command of both spoken and written English.

You must hold a teacher qualification or a relevant degree (preferably secondary school teacher).
