This lovely family are looking for a professional, organised, flexible, and kind and caring Nanny for a baby boy (born Sept 2019). The Nanny would be expected to have a good understanding and experience of working with babies of a similar age, including in relation to sleep, feeding/weaning, communication and developmental stages.
The baby is happy, healthy, alert, communicative and in a good routine. He enjoys fresh air/walks to the park as well as being read to. The family have not yet started groups or classes but are keen to look at what is available in the area and start look at booking these in. He has begun weaning.
The role is a mixture of sole charge and shared care; the Nanny should be someone who is happy to work alongside mum (who will have an active role with the baby) but also someone who is happy and capable of taking sole charge that the parents can trust and rely on when they need to work.
This is new nanny position in the household and so the family are working out what would be best for them in terms of on duty days. They would like to start with a position working Tuesday to Saturday 8am to 8pm with 1 babysit per week (to 11pm). The Nanny will be taking over from a Maternity Nurse and so this is a time of transition to look at what is going to work most effectively for the family -the family would be happy to discuss the working pattern after 3 months to see if there are any changes needed.
In a busy household like this organisation is key - the Nanny would need to act on their own initiative and be highly organised with excellent communication skills as they would need to work closely with the family to provide the best level of care for the little boy and create a fun and stimulating environment in which he will continue to develop and strive. They need to have a good understanding of the role that a Nanny plays, with the ability to be discreet, respectful of the family home and to maintain professional boundaries.
All nursery duties are required including preparing food for the baby.
There is the potential for some travel in the role and so a Nanny who enjoys travelling and is highly organised when doing so would be advantageous.
A driver is not essential as all amenities and activities are in walking distance of the house.
The family have 3 dogs and 2 cats and so an animal lover is essential.
