Nanny-Housekeeper
Full time live-out nanny housekeeper position in Kensington.

We are a family of four based in Kensington looking for a full-time live-out nanny-housekeeper starting in February. My husband and I have two boys, one nearly three years old and the other who is currently 3 months old.

This is a full-time role and the hours are 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday, plus infrequent evening and overnight childcare. My husband works full-time, and I’m currently on maternity leave, but will be starting graduate school in April and returning to work in the autumn. Our older son attends a nearby nursery school from 9am - 12pm during term time.

We’re looking for a loving, fun, and responsible nanny who can create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment in which our children can develop and thrive. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake all duties that relate to the children, as well as keeping the house in order.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

- Provide care such as dressing, bottle-feeding, changing nappies, bathing, and planning/preparing nutritious meals for our children.
- Manage the daily schedule for both children. Share children's daily activities with parents.
- Take and pick up our older son to and from nursery school each day (in walking distance from our home).
- Organise and provide activities such as reading, creative arts and crafts, and other various educational opportunities and support regular outdoor play (we live between two parks).
- Ensure the children are active and social, by organizing and accompanying children to play dates, attending baby/toddler classes, and taking children on outings.
- Reinforce appropriate discipline and teach children positive social behaviours, such as being respectful to each other and helping out with chores.
- Take care of children in case of illness or injury.
- Work with parents to ensure children’s growth and social development and keep parents informed of developmental steps.
- Perform general household cleaning and tidying (keeping the home well-kept and organised).
- Laundry and ironing for the family.
- Cook for our children / help clean up in the kitchen.
- Run errands as needed (dry cleaning, food shopping, post office).
- Infrequently support with evening babysitting, overnight care, and accompanying the family on holidays (all agreed in advance).

Requirements:
- Relevant professional nanny experience with newborn and toddler childcare in a private environment.
- Flexible regarding the tasks which they are required to complete in the household.
- A proactive, responsible, and positive attitude.
- Ability to come up with creative ideas to educate and engage children.
- Physically fit, energetic, and possessing good judgment skills.
- Organised, trustworthy, and reliable.
- A strong work ethic and good time management skills.
- Professional personal presentation.
- Up-to-date DBS check (or willing to initiate a new one) and paediatric first aid.
- Strong communication skills and good command of the English language.
- Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
- Non-smoker is essential.
- Discretion and loyalty are essential.
- Checkable references.

Salary negotiable, 28 days’ holiday annually including bank holidays.
