We are looking for a someone, either male or female, with knowledge of school aged children with ADHD, ASC and sensory issues. We are flexible on the number of hours we have. We think two part time people would probably suit our needs best.

I home educate my boys (we are professional people and yes it is legal!), so we would need some one who is on board with that. We have a fairly relaxed approach to learning and believe that children learn when they are ready to. We also believe they will follow their own paths, which is why we encourage them to pursue their interests.

Our boys go to groups and clubs such as art class, forest school, science club, football, tennis etc. One of our boys prefers to stay at home, so you would need to be happy doing that sometimes. You would not necessarily be directly responsible for educating our children. However, if you have a specific interest or skill that you could share with our boys, that would be amazing.

It is essential you have an understanding of ADHD, ASC, sensory issues and anxiety in children, so that you are able to understand and deal with certain behaviours, such as meltdowns and frustration.

We are looking for someone who is energetic, motivated, fun to be around, highly organised, firm (not strict or bossy), fair, with the ability to stay calm under pressure and who has lots of ideas on how to keep 3 busy boys occupied!

Our boys are only allowed to watch TV for a limited period at weekends (as it has a negative impact on them) and need to be busy and active with as much time outside as possible.

You need to know - our boys fight! Although, not that often when they are separated frequently. They need to be taking part in activities individually, which is why we could really benefit from having two people to help. Our middle boy also has meltdowns fairly frequently (often triggered by hunger or frustration), although this can be avoided by keeping expectations low and having time at home.
