I am a Brighton based solo father (widowed) looking for after school and holiday childcare for my two fiesty and growing children - may daughter aged 12 and my son aged 9. Core hours are Monday - Thursday after school to early evening (17 hours per week) and there is overtime pay during the holidays.

Duties will include school pick up, meal planning, cooking, overseeing homework and helping to keep the house in order (and teaching the kids to take on more of the household tasks themselves). Both my daughter and I have coeliac disease and we would require a good cook who is able to cook for a gluten free diet.

We are looking for someone experienced in working with older children/teens, who is fun, creative, a good cook, is relaxed yet also happy to help reinforce boundaries of good behaviour. Both children are highly intelligent and lots of fun, and the role will be extremely rewarding for the right person.

This job would suit someone who may have other interests, e.g. a freelance career or part time study that can be combined with the demands of this role.
