Male or Female Nanny-housekeeper required to support three young people aged 17, 15 and 12 (one girl, two boys) to cover Maternity leave. Starting mid-late March (TBC) 2019. The children have individual complex needs (two are in full-time education, one at home).

The role will involve usual nanny and housekeeping tasks such as washing, some light cleaning, meal preparation etc as well as caring for the family dog but will also include supervision and support of homework, re-engagement as well as support towards independence. You may also be required to attend meetings and appointments if Mum is not able to attend due to other commitments or as well as mum.

Interests include creative design as well as gaming and some sports such as Cricket and swimming.

Able to work as part of a team within a sometimes challenging environment
Able to initially take direction and follow instructions from parent and professionals in supporting young people
Will be a car owner/driver
Ofsted registered or the application is currently being processed/willing to do so immediately (includes first aid) is an essential requirement.
Excellent time keeper
Appropriately qualified

It would be advantageous to have experience of children with additional needs such as high functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder, severe anxiety and physical impairments.

Hours will be 25-30 hours a week. However, for the right applicant this could be flexible. There will be some weekend work (Sunday’s when parent is working away in Autumn) and evening supervision required by prior arrangement, with some overnights. Dates are usually known well in advance.
