{"id":2538,"date":"2019-10-24T13:02:57","date_gmt":"2019-10-24T13:02:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nannyjob.co.uk\/blog\/?p=2538"},"modified":"2019-10-24T13:02:57","modified_gmt":"2019-10-24T13:02:57","slug":"tax-free-childcare-and-childcare-vouchers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nannyjob.co.uk\/blog\/tax-free-childcare-and-childcare-vouchers\/","title":{"rendered":"Tax Free Childcare and Childcare Vouchers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Childcare vouchers will cease from the 5th October 2018 and thereafter the Tax-Free Childcare scheme will take over.<\/p>\n<p>\u200bYou can get up to \u00a3500 every 3 months (\u00a32,000 a year) for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare.<\/p>\n<p>\u200b\u200bIf you get Tax-Free Childcare, the government will pay \u00a32 for every \u00a38 you pay your childcare provider via an online account.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/help-with-childcare-costs\/tax-free-childcare\"><strong>https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/help-with-childcare-costs\/tax-free-childcare<\/strong><\/a><strong><u>\u200b<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>You can\u00a0get Tax-Free Childcare if you and\u00a0your partner (if applicable)\u00a0are &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u200b\u200bin employment\u00a0or getting parental leave, sick leave or annual leave<\/p>\n<p>each earning at least the National Minimum Wage or Living Wage for 16 hours a week &#8211; this is \u00a3131.36 if you\u2019re 25 or over\u200b<\/p>\n<p>\u200bThis earnings limit does not apply if you\u2019re self-employed and started your business less than 12 months ago.<\/p>\n<p>\u200bYour child must be 11 or under and usually live with you. They stop being eligible on 1 September after their 11th birthday.<\/p>\n<p>\u200b\u200bAdopted children are eligible, but foster children are not.<\/p>\n<p>\u200b\u200b<strong>If your child is disabled, you may get up to \u00a34,000 a year until they\u2019re 17.
