Some employers ask for at least 4 weeks notice.<\/div>\n<div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x0 pg-1h4 pg-1ya pg-1ff2 pg-1fs1 pg-1fc0 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">We would recommend you keep note of holiday taken paid or unpaid, just in case nanny<\/div>\n<div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x0 pg-1h4 pg-1yb pg-1ff2 pg-1fs1 pg-1fc0 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">leaves part way through the year and has over taken on holiday. This way any unpaid or<\/div>\n<div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x0 pg-1h4 pg-1yc pg-1ff2 pg-1fs1 pg-1fc0 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">over paid holiday can be paid\/deducted in her final payslip.<\/div>\n<div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x0 pg-1h4 pg-1yd pg-1ff2 pg-1fs1 pg-1fc0 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">If nanny works more than 5 days a week, their holiday entitlement is capped at 28 days. It is<\/div>\n<div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x0 pg-1h4 pg-1ye pg-1ff2 pg-1fs1 pg-1fc0 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">not a problem if you agree more day\u2019s holiday with nanny \u2013 this could be a condition of her<\/div>\n<div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x0 pg-1h4 pg-1yf pg-1ff2 pg-1fs1 pg-1fc0 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">working for over a stated amount of time.<\/div>\n<div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x0 pg-1h4 pg-1y10 pg-1ff2 pg-1fs1 pg-1fc0 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">If nanny is part time, she is entitled to annual leave (28 days including bank holidays), but<\/div>\n<div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x0 pg-1h4 pg-1y11 pg-1ff2 pg-1fs1 pg-1fc0 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">pro-rated. So if nanny works 2 days a week, her holiday allowance is calculated:<\/div>\n<div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x0 pg-1h4 pg-1y12 pg-1ff2 pg-1fs1 pg-1fc0 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">2 days a week x 5.6 annual holiday allowance = 11.20 days holiday.<\/div>\n<div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x0 pg-1h4 pg-1y13 pg-1ff2 pg-1fs1 pg-1fc0 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">You must not round the holiday allowance down to 11, but can round it up to 11.5 days.<\/div>\n<div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x0 pg-1h4 pg-1y14 pg-1ff2 pg-1fs1 pg-1fc0 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">If nanny works different hours each week, you calculate her holiday pay by averaging her<\/div>\n<div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x0 pg-1h4 pg-1y15 pg-1ff2 pg-1fs1 pg-1fc0 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">last 12 weeks worked hours then multiply it by 5.6, this then gives you her holiday<\/div>\n<div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x0 pg-1h4 pg-1y16 pg-1ff2 pg-1fs1 pg-1fc0 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">entitlement in hours for the year and when she has a day\u2019s holiday or was due to work on a<\/div>\n<div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x0 pg-1h4 pg-1y17 pg-1ff2 pg-1fs1 pg-1fc0 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">public holiday, whatever hours she was scheduled to work that day are then deducted from<\/div>\n<div class=\"t pg-1m0 pg-1x0 pg-1h4 pg-1y18 pg-1ff2 pg-1fs1 pg-1fc0 pg-1sc0 pg-1ls0 pg-1ws0\">her overall annual entitlement.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our recommended partners at www.PayrollForNannies.co.uk provide payroll advice for parents and have created this content.
