It can be difficult to think of new mischief for your elf to get up to, especially if this isn\u2019t the first year he\u2019s come to stay.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why we\u2019ve put together plenty of new Elf on the Shelf ideas to help delight children of all ages this Christmas!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Snow angels \u2013 make a snow angel with your elf using a small amount of flour or colourful sprinkles.<\/li>\n<li>The first present \u2013 wrap your elf up like a present for the children to find and open the day he arrives.<\/li>\n<li>Hostage situation \u2013 using a little tape or string, have your child\u2019s other toys \u2018kidnap\u2019 your elf.<\/li>\n<li>Sleeping like a bat \u2013 hang your elf upside down to sleep.<\/li>\n<li>Marshmallow bath \u2013 find a container large enough for your elf to sit in and fill with marshmallows.<\/li>\n<li>An elf date \u2013 set up a date between your elf and another toy.<\/li>\n<li>Elf selfie \u2013 this works great if you have a printer\/scanner, just lay your elf on the scanning surface and print a couple of \u2018selfies\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Snowball fight \u2013 dust a surface with flower, use marshmallows as ammunition as your elf and another toy(s) have the ultimate snowball fight!<\/li>\n<li>Sweet tooth \u2013 Put your elf half inside a bag of tasty treats, you could even leave some \u2018crumbs\u2019 as further evidence.<\/li>\n<li>Hiding in the cutlery drawer \u2013 Hide your elf amongst the cutlery, maybe he\u2019s holding your child\u2019s breakfast spoon.<\/li>\n<li>The name game \u2013 use marshmallows to spell your child\u2019s or your elf\u2019s name on the kitchen counter.<\/li>\n<li>Leave a note \u2013 give your elf a pen and have him leave a personalised note for your child reminding them to be extra good.<\/li>\n<li>Reading a book \u2013 encourage your child to read by having your elf sit with an open book.<\/li>\n<li>Graffiti \u2013 using cotton wool, red felt and a dab of washable glue, have your elf decorate the various photos around you house with Christmas hats and beards.<\/li>\n<li>Elf kisses \u2013 make a simple kissing booth for your elf.<\/li>\n<li>Baking elf \u2013 have your elf make a batch of Christmas cookies but there\u2019s one missing\u2026remember to leave crumbs as evidence.<\/li>\n<li>TP the Christmas tree \u2013 this one is a little messy but still lots of fun.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These are just a few simple ideas for you to try with your Elf on the Shelf this December.
