You can&#8217;t nurture your charges and be infinitely patient if you&#8217;re feeling down in the dumps. Try a few of these to put a spring in your step and show yourself some love.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>1. Put on fluffy socks and make a cup of hot chocolate to warm you up<\/p>\n<p>2. Watch a feel-good movie, with popcorn and\/or ice cream<\/p>\n<p>3. Have a long bath with a sparkly bath bomb or divinely scented bath oil<\/p>\n<p>4. Get a new haircut<\/p>\n<p>5. Paint your nails a bright colour<\/p>\n<p>6. Redecorate, or change the look of your room by getting some new bedlinen<\/p>\n<p>7. Call a friend you haven&#8217;t talked to for ages and catch up<\/p>\n<p>8. Get an adult colouring book and some pencils or pens<\/p>\n<p>9. Give yourself a luxurious foot treatment and pedicure &#8211; get a headstart for sandals in summer<\/p>\n<p>10. Try mindfulness &#8211; you can download the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.headspace.com\/headspace-meditation-app\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Headspace app<\/a> for your phone<\/p>\n<p>11. Eat more greens (seriously, it will make you feel tons better)<\/p>\n<p>12. Volunteer for a community project &#8211; doing good for others will make you feel good too<\/p>\n<p>13. Vent, and then delete it or burn the paper you&#8217;ve written on to get rid of all the negative energy<\/p>\n<p>14. Book that appointment with the dentist or the doctor you&#8217;ve been putting off, including your smear<\/p>\n<p>15. Say NO to things you don&#8217;t want to do, and YES to what makes you happy<\/p>\n<p>16. Sing, <a href=\"http:\/\/singfit.com\/clinical-research-on-the-benefits-of-singing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">clinically proven<\/a> to be good for you<\/p>\n<p>17.
