Family, friends, employers, current charges\u2026. The list for a nanny is long! We\u2019re not going to come down one way or the other but here are some tips so you don\u2019t get sucked into spending hundreds for all your ex-charges.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Don\u2019t be afraid to set limits. A cut off age is perfectly reasonable.<\/li>\n<li>Suggest spending time together, rather than a gift. Remember it\u2019s presence, not presents, and the gift of your time will be doubly precious for your ex-charge who doesn\u2019t see you every day any more.<\/li>\n<li>It\u2019s okay to have favourites. It\u2019s okay to want to keep sending gifts to your first nanny family, or the one you spent the longest with, or ones that you keep in touch with.
