Job Summary:
We are currently working with a lovely family in Balham who are looking for a live in Nanny to join their family to look after their 2 year old and 5 month old children. The family are looking for a professional nanny who will prioritise the children and their needs (physical, emotional and educational) – highly emotionally intelligent (read situations and behave appropriately), give the children space and independence so they learn and explore. This role will suit a nanny who enjoys the outdoors and outdoor activities. The Nanny must make the most of what is on offer in the area and broader London such as museums, parks, exhibits – the family have memberships with Royal Automobile Club, National Trust and Battersea Park Zoo.
The eldest will be 2 in July - he enjoys books, puzzles, singing and talking. Loves being outdoors walking, climbing, exploring and finding sticks! And independent play.
The baby has a flexible routine with feeds every 4 hours.
The family are looking for a nanny who will grow strong bonds with the children and be with them for many years.
The home is located 10 mins from Balham Tube Station.


Accommodation: Large double room with ensuite (walk in shower and separate bath), large double wardrobe, ample storage, mini fridge, kettle, tea/coffee

General duties:
• Nursery duties
• Age appropriate activities
• Cleaning and tidying the nursery, bedroom, playroom
• Laundry for the children
• Preparing bottles/nutritious meals for the children
• Take to activities/playgroups
• Age appropriate classes
• Arranging playdates and organising special occasions
• Take care of all equipment related to the children’s care, make sound judgements when purchasing items
• Keeping the nanny’s accommodation neat and tidy
• Babysitting 1 to 2 evenings per week when required


Candidate requirements:
• Experience within a similar role with babies and toddlers
• Emotionally intelligent who can read situations and behave appropriately
• Somone caring and nurturing yet good discipline and firm
• Enjoys outdoors and leads an active, healthy and balanced lifestyle
• Acts with integrity and discreet
• Competent cook who can prepare varied, interesting and nutritious meals for the children
• Happy to travel with the family internationally – 1 to 3 times per year
• Good communicator
• Spanish speaking would be a big bonus as mum speaks Spanish to the children


DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
