About this child: Archie, 7, is a joyful, affectionate and engaging boy, who absolutely loves being physical outdoors; running, climbing, swinging, and bouncing! He lives at home with his brother 9, Mum, Dad, and a Golden Labrador. Archie’s home has lots of outdoor space, with a pool, tennis court and plenty of trees and nature for him to explore. He has a very supportive network at his SEN school, and his family are lovingly dedicated to learning and supporting Archie in the most positive, and practical ways, using good nutrition, visual aids, familiar routines and helping build his independence skills. Archie has a diagnosis of Autism, has moderate challenges with social communication, sensory regulation, and mild challenging behaviours. Archie is verbal, although at present, he uses limited words.

Overview of role: Archie requires an SEN Nanny with a good understanding of autism and the challenges and wonders that it can bring. Someone to support him and his family to get ready for school each morning, to pick Archie up from school, interact with him through play, building independence and social skills, and preparing nutritious snacks and meals. There are some light housekeeping duties around the children’s laundry and tidying. The family is ideally looking for someone who can offer some Saturday hours but there can be flexibility for the right applicant. Wage: Live in £15.00 weekdays, £17.00 weekends. Live out: £17.00 weekdays, £19.00 gross per hour weekends.

Who this job would suit: We are looking for an SEN Nanny / Manny who has a good understanding of autism and can help open Archie’s world. This job will suit a non-smoker/vaper, a driver with their own vehicle, someone happy to work in a rural location through all seasons.

What’s great about this job: The SEN Nanny / Manny will have use of family pool, tennis court and garden too. You will work with a loving and dedicated family who appreciate the skill set an SEN Manny/Nanny can bring and will welcome you with positivity.
