We are seeking a nanny with autism experience to work with a non- verbal 4 year old boy in the Hampstead Heath area.

The boy is diagnosed with social communication/ borderline autism - he has many 15 words that he uses, but does communicate.

His parents are seeking someone with solid experience working with social communication difficulties and behavioural needs, which look like refusals, dropping to the floor, some screaming at times.

The relationship is the most important thing, they can be flexible for the right person
They are wanting a kind, enthusiastic, active person who is keen to get down on their son’s level and play.
He loves playing outside, running, climbing, swimming, overall a sensory seeker.
He learns well when incorporating physical play, he loves walks on the heath and can spend hours in the pool.

They have an OT, Speech therapist, and ABA consultant all working with their son and would like his goals integrated into his schedule.
He doesn’t sleep well, this impacts the family greatly. They would eventually like someone to help them tackle the sleep issues.

**Hours **
* The role is 20-25 hours during term time. The parents imagine this as 2 days after school perhaps late so they can go out and a half day over the weekend. They are seeking someone who is flexible, so can maybe work one late evening, and 2 other afternoons.
* They will pay for a min set hours, but they will not always require someone for all of then hours. If, however, they go over the set hours, they will pay you for your overtime.
* During school holidays they are looking for 40+ hours per week. Again flexibility is key. This could be 3 long days with the rest of the week off. Or maybe 4 shorter days.
* They have a holiday house in Kent, where they spend summers.
* They would like the nanny to go with them for a few days a week over the 2 months of summer. This is flexible, days can change week to week if you have something in London etc.

Candidates shall-
• have the right to work in the UK
• Have a clear DBS
• Have experience with autism or social communication disorders
• Have experience with supporting parents with schedules, giving advice
• Have a fun, active personality
• Is happy to get down on the floor and play
• Can commit long term
• Able to start in May

£30+ per hour
