Role Title: Part-time Nanny/ Mother’s Helper
Start Date: As soon as the right person is found
Working Schedule: Can be flexible. 2-3 days per week: 8am - 6pm (Mon and Tues preferred) however the family can be flexible on this. If they find the right person, this could turn into a permanent role
Salary: Up to £25 gross per hour
Charges: 2 boys, 5 months and 21 months
Other: Driver would be useful due to location of the home. A nanny who lives within a 30-40 minute drive of the home would be preferred.

Are you a nanny with experience caring for young children who is looking for a flexible / part-time role in SW London? This family need some help with their two lovely boys who are being cared for by their parents at present. Dad works full-time and mum would love to get back to her career also in the near future but they need the right person to help them manage the demands of a busy household with two young children. Ideally, this would be a self-employed position.

The Role
- Caring for your charges both in the home and out of the home which includes general nursery duties (feeding, changing nappies, laundry, keeping nursery areas clean and tidy)
- Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for both children to support them to navigate the world they are growing up in
- Keep on top of admin related to the children e.g. nappy supplies, food shopping, name tagging clothes etc as needed and prepare healthy meals and snacks as needed
- Help with weaning and potty training. Be confident to navigate all stages of growth
- Support with nursery drop offs and pick ups when the oldest begins to attend in the summer this year
- Manage the children’s daily routine, including nap time, playtime, and outings. Use your initiative to guide the family on this as needs change related to the youngest child’s development.
- Structure play to be educational, fun and enjoyable for both your charges
- Help keep an eye on developmental milestones and the children’s general wellbeing and health - raising any concerns if needed
- Attend doctor’s appointments if needed and administer medicine with approval from parents
- Communicate with parent(s) clearly
- Be emotionally intelligent and keen to create a trusting relationship with the parents and your charges.

The person
To be considered for the role, the following attributes and qualifications will be needed

- A positive attitude and a gentle approach to the role
- Fluent English
- Someone who is happy to work in collaboration with the parents as well as in a sole charge position
- A nanny who genuinely enjoys their job!
- Excellent tenure in previous roles alongside excellent references
- Paediatric First Aid Certification
- Up to date DBS check and the Right to Work in the UK
- Be hardworking, diligent and organised
- Be flexible as this family are also able to be flexible with you
- Be open to taking on board wishes of the parents (especially in the early months as trust is being built)
