We are an easy going family based in Battersea, just off the park- Mum is Australian, Dad is Dutch. We have four children: boy (9), girl (8), boy (6), girl (2); all in school in Chelsea full-time.

A bit of background: Our nanny of six years is leaving us as our little one is in nursery full-time but she’s not a cleaner so we require someone who can fill a nanny/housekeeper role. We are looking for someone who is able to manage all the household duties during the day, everything from cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, changing beds, laundry, ironing, organizing and deep cleaning. My husband and I mostly manage the school drop offs and collections and take the older children to clubs and activities. We do require some assistance from time to time but mostly with the little one. For example, nursery drop off/collection, take her to play dates and the playground, assist with meal times, bath and bed. We don’t require cooking on a daily basis but basic skills i.e cooking healthy children’s meals on occasion is helpful. We are in search of someone who is flexible and willing to travel; we travel often for the children’s breaks for up to 3-4 weeks at a time so we are looking for someone who is able to come with us. We visit places such as the Bahamas, Holland, Switzerland and the USA. On shorter breaks like half term we often times prefer someone at home to organize the house while we are away and take care of our two dogs (age 11- female labradoodles).

Accommodation: We have a beautiful guest suite located on the 1st floor with a lovely view into the garden and down the street. The room is light, bright and airy with an extremely comfortable bed. We normally keep this room for our parents and family members when they come to visit but since we don’t have any other spaces available, we are offering this room to the person who fills the role. There is an en suite bathroom, plenty of closet space and it’s located on the south side of the house so it’s a very peaceful space.

Role: 8am-7pm Monday-Friday plus two nights babysitting. Cleaning/managing household during the day. From 3:30/4pm onwards, assistance with children, playtime/activities, help with meal times, bath and bed (mostly with the little one). When we travel, the schedule tends to be quite similar to when at home however we might require some more babysitting but time will be compensated. Flexibility is really helpful when considering this role. During short breaks- someone who can stay at the home to look after the dogs and organize the house is required. Please note- we don’t typically have someone in a live- in role so we are seeking someone who is considerate and discreet in our family home and we will be the same in return.

Children: They all love being outdoors and doing lots of sport/games. They love imaginative play, being read stories and playing with friends. Their teachers describe them as extremely polite and kind children who care deeply about others. Of course they bicker from time to time but mostly they are a solid little team ??

Essential criteria:

. Must speak English fluently
. Must have at least 5 years experience in childcare and cleaning
. Must be DBS checked
. Must have first aid certificate (can be completed within 2 months of taking the role)
. Must be able to commit to the role for a minimum of 12 months from start date
. Must provide solid references

Job start date: April 15th 2024

Salary: Attractive salary will be offered (dependent upon experience) proportionate to hours worked/provision of accommodation/facilities etc.
