I am looking for an organised, warm, positive and experienced nanny for this charming
family of four. Confidentiality is always of the upmost importance. As the
family get to know you, opportunities will be given to grow the Household PA side, fun
errand running and girl Friday duties. A really exciting position for someone looking for that
little bit more than just being a Nanny.

The Principals of this family both have high powered jobs and are incredibly busy during
the week. They need an energetic individual who is confident to take the reigns at home,
use their initiative, have lots of common sense, is always one step ahead and who will act
as a big sister/mini-mentor to these two bright, creative and busy children. The children
are aged 7 (boy) and 9 (girl). The children are gentle and kind, this is very much a warm,
close-knit family home.
Mornings are the busy time's, with everyone needing to go about their
day and get out of the house. This is where you will need to hit the floor running, making
everything run smoothly.

Although both parents work very hard, time with their children is everything; they want to
be able to come home at the end of the day and not have to deal with a list of household
duties and extra childcare organisation, they just want quality time with their children. The
family home is contemporary and beautifully kept, it is important to keep tidy and
organised so that at the end of the day when everyone is home, the environment is calm
and relaxing.

The family housekeeper is in for 8 hours midweek to clean the house thoroughly, it really is
a case of tidy as you go. There is also a gardener who comes in as and when needed.
This is a Mon - Fri position that needs a flexible can-do attitude due to occasional
changing work schedules, however, most of the time, any changes to the schedule are
given in advance. Parents do travel, not often together, but sometimes there may be the
need for an overnight stay for which time back would be given in lieu.
The current Nanny has been with the family for over 4 years and is wonderful but she has
decided to go back to her studies. You will have a handover and transition period with her
to ensure you are confident in the role when she leaves.

Main responsibilities:
Children
• School pick-ups and after-school care during term time
• Full-time care of the children during school holidays
• After school classes
• Homework on a daily basis
• Children’s meal planning and cooking
• Keeping children’s clothes, rooms, toys organised and clean and tidy
House:
• Children’s laundry (with mum) including bed linen and towels.
• Errands for the family: Dry cleaning, post office, butchers, birthday presents
and other ad-hoc duties.
• Weekly online Ocado shop for the family, unpack on delivery.
• Some organisation of school holiday activities with mum
• Optional weekend babysitting paid additionally.
