Hi, I'm Katie and I'm looking for a smart, empathetic, proactive full-time nanny to help care for our 7-month-old daughter. Regular hours would be 8am-8pm Monday through Thursday. The right candidate will also be flexible enough to occasionally come earlier, stay later or overnight at short notice, and to travel with us, including internationally. (My husband and I adore our daughter and spend as much time with her as possible, but I am an American lawyer with unpredictable hours and he is a British executive who travels often.)

In addition to empathy and responsibility, the right candidate will have a strong sense of initiative and be comfortable making independent decisions where appropriate (e.g. when to introduce a new food or what playgroups to take our daughter to). The right candidate will also have experience working with families where both parents are busy professionals. Other key attributes include experience with infants (under 2), a sense of humour, strong communication skills and a calm demeanour. Must also work well as part of a care team that will include a Friday/evening nanny. Must be a native or equivalent speaker of English.

Strong references essential. Commitment to 2+ years of work a plus. Pay will be commensurate with experience and the obvious demands of the job.
