I’m looking for a practical, intuitive and emotionally mature nanny/manny to work within a warm family home. I’m a newly single parent with a little boy, Louis who is 7. We live in a lovely big house in North London, and regularly have friends come to stay with us.

Louis is on the Autistic spectrum so the nanny will need to have a creative approach to implementing strategies that will enhance and aid his overall development. He requires someone who is consistent, patient, kind, energetic, fun and confident.

Louis has a very gentle nature, and sunny disposition. He engages well with adults, and is interested in his peers, but lack of language and social skills makes forming friendships challenging. It is important for the nanny to have a good command of the English language in order to encourage Louis in his language development.

This position would suit a nanny/manny who has excellent childcare experience and significant exposure to working with children who have learning difficulties. Knowledge to implement social stories and create visual timetables is important as this will help manage Louis’s behavior in a constructive way.

This is a hands-on role, and I’m looking for someone with a positive attitude who is both organized and flexible, and who will endeavor to establish a rapport and connection with Louis. I work full-time with my own business, but very much see managing our day-to-day life as a team effort.

This is a live-in position, and a driver is essential. The car provided is a VW Golf automatic.

Pay will be based strictly upon age and experience.

Louis is loving and becomes very attached to his carers, so in order to ensure continuity of routines I will only consider candidates who are able to offer a long-term commitment.
