We are looking for a full time nanny (live in or live out) for sole charge of our two daughters from January next year in Fulham (SW6) at which time our daughters will be 2 1/2 years old and 10 months old. The mother works four days a week (Fridays off) so the nanny will not generally be required to work on Fridays but should be willing to work those hours flexibly during the rest of the week. Otherwise the hours are expected to be 8-6.30. Flexibility for overtime (given notice) is essential in anyone applying as a live-out nanny. Although this is a sole charge position, the candidate will need to feel happy and comfortable having either parent around interacting with the children and nanny if working from home.

The successful candidate is likely to have prior experience of sole charge in a similar role and with children and babies of a similar age. Responsibilities include:

* dropping the older child off and collecting her from a local nursery school (9am to 1pm Monday to Thursday), making her packed lunches and ensuring that she has all she needs for nursery each day;
* playing with the baby and supporting and encouraging her to reach her developmental milestones;
* looking after both children every afternoon, and full time during nursery school holidays, arranging appropriate activities, including supervised playdates, for them both and ensuring that they both reach their developmental milestones;
* making age appropriate, healthy, meals from scratch and undertaking batch cooking;
* taking the baby to weekly baby classes (eg music) and other age appropriate local activities;
* standard nursery duties including keeping the girls' bedrooms and play area tidy as well as doing all of their laundry etc. We have a cleaner, so heavy cleaning not required; and
* flexibility to run occasional family errands (collecting/dropping off dry cleaning, parcels etc)

We are looking for someone loving, creative, energetic, flexible and very proactive who loves babies and small children and is looking for a long term role. You will love caring for children and be able to create a calm, fun family environment, as well as provide routine and stability. We are flexible about live in vs live out nannies as finding the right person is essential and we would like this to be a long term relationship.

Requirements:

- Checkable, relevant references covering the previous 5 years, ideally with one role of more than 2 years;
- Experience working within a similar position in a private household, with sole charge;
- Fluent English;
- Current DBS and First Aid certificate;
- Non Smoker; and
- if applying as a live out nanny, it would be better if you lived close by or had an easy commute

For live in nannies, the accommodation is own room on the top floor with shared bathroom (though possibility of sole use - we and the children sleep on the first floor so you have a good degree of privacy - all meals, Sky TV and internet.

We are in our early thirties and are both lawyers. Both our jobs can be quite demanding so it is essential that we have a trusting and mutually beneficial relationship with our nanny.
