After school nanny in Highgate

We are a friendly and happy family with two bright girls, 5 and 7. We are looking for help after school 3-5 days a week (must include Monday, Tuesday and Friday) during term time and can offer time during school holidays if you wish.

We are looking for someone to walk and pick the girls up from a nearby school three days a week (Monday, Tuesday and Friday), to bring them home, to support them in doing some homework and to give them a simple tea. On Wednesday and Thursday we would ask you to undertake light household duties including around 2 hours of ironing a week. The girls don't watch TV, but love free play and the chance to do a variety of fun and interesting activities. They have asked for someone to look after them who is "fun and like hugs".

Start time would be 15:00 hrs. Finish time would normally be 17:30 hrs and 19:00 hrs one evening most weeks. There will be some babysitting opportunities if you wish.

We are looking for a loving and enthusiastic person who has a genuine interest in working with children. We would offer a competitive salary, with an annual pay review, through a payroll service accounting for tax and NI. We would also be happy to offer references on us from our recent nanny of three years standing and from our cleaner.

It is essential that you:
• are genuinely committed to and enjoy working with children
• have a minimum of two years’ experience of looking after children
• have two excellent UK, checkable references
• are honest, caring, responsible and enthusiastic
• speak excellent English
• are DBS (CRB) checked
• are legally able to work in the UK

We would prefer that you:
• have a qualification in first aid
• live locally
