The job is starting soon - I am really keen to get the right person and want to include you into our daily life. Our last nanny sadly has to move back to her hometown after many years with us but this is a great opportunity to find a fun, enthusiastic nanny for my one son, who is 10.
I work in the media nearby in a busy job so would love someone flexible, switched-on, pro-active with a 'can-do' attitude and more importantly - someone who gets on with my son, is positive and upbeat and uses time well.
Here's the actual logistics of what is a live-out, part time job that pays well per week- mornings and after school, with some babysitting but not daytimes (unless it is school hols):
My son will need to picked up from our house in Bloomsbury near Holborn or Chancery Lane (central, piccadilly line) and be taken to school in Chiswick (Turnham Green) every morning. Quite early starts so helpful if you live near us.
Morning hours are approx 7.15 - 9am.
The daytime is free until school pick up, which is 3.45pm, sometime later, at 5pm if he has club.
After pick up, you will travel home together and then eat a snack and do homework together, which is fit for a bright 10 year old - so lots of 11+ papers to work on. There's also a park with a zipwire etc nearby which is great for ball games or a kick about, picnic, coffee stop!
I return home between 6pm - 6.30pm and up to two nights a week would be later so you'd have movie nights, eat together etc.
Every other Monday morning off work.
Actual working hours per week are approx 20 -30 hours a week. But the pay is higher than that to include babysitting evenings (up to 2 nights per week) included in the weekly rate but not always used and also, to cover school holidays when there are full days but also many full weeks off. I think a balanced standard wage is preferable but we could chat about this.

Our son is a really chatty, bright and lovely boy so just the one to look after - we've had our previous nanny for years and once lived with us too - but she is moving back to Cyprus.

We live in a quiet area of Central London in a wonderful, safe area near a playground, grocery shops, boutiques and cafes. There are many bus routes nearby and transport links.
