We are a American/Slovak family living in Barnet. We are currently looking for a babysitter for our two children - boy (4.5) and girl (2) starting in May 2014. At the moment we would need someone who could help us a couple of hours during the day (afternoons) - 1-2 days a week, a few hours over the weekend, and occasionally in the evenings (1-2 times a month). Our children are active, fun loving, playful, smart, loving, love to read books, play in the garden and play sports. We are looking for a person who is very kind and patient but also strict, so that the children know that the discipline is important but at the same time feel safe and loved.

We are looking for a long term relationship, for someone with whom our children could bond. If we see that the relationship with the children is great we would love the babysitter to travel with us on holidays - summer and winter - so a valid passport would be a must - but this is not a deal breaker at the moment.

Certain qualification in childcare is preferred, we would also require you to have completed a first aid course and have recent CRB checks. We would love to see your references.
